why I moved from desktop application development to Web application development

As you know, A desktop application needs a good system requirements these days, earlier desktop applications were the trend in IT field,if there is any requirement for a management system. pos system, or HR systems then the developers will develop the required system using language like java or C#.Then they need to setup the network, allocate a separate location for the server, install the server connect the clients to the server and lot more.
But recently their is a change in the technology and cloud based or web applications became more popular, the reason is there are lots of development frameworks available and also when considering about the system requirements for a web applications the it doesn’t matter how good is your specs, the cloud needs only good internet connection to establish connection between client and server, how cool is it.
with the cloud based apps the big companies no longer need to allocation huge budgets for their systems but average pc’s will be enough with a good internet connection
another good point when it’s a cloud based app the users can access the system from anywhere anytime and do their work
Negative points
one of the main disadvantage is the internet connection, the client should have a good internet connection (not average).
the security risk is high in cloud than local server, hackers try to break into the web application in order to steal data (if developers take right measures to prevent the app from been hack then it’ good to go)
anyway there are some ups and downs but what I think is in the future all the systems will be cloud based and desktop applications are very less so I decided to move from desktop application development to web application development.
